Summary
Scooter & Crystal attend the funeral with the rest of team 3, as teams 1 and 2 are on the river. People from other river companies also attend.
Al is there physically, but Scooter & Crystal are not sure that he realizes that they are talking to him.
Circumstances have Michelle forced into running the company, even if she'd rather be in the canyon.
Both Michelle and Jeff already know that Al and Louise were looking to Crystal and Scooter to be trip leaders, so they are content to let them get on with it, although they will need to lean on Jerry who has better knowledge of the canyon geology and history.
Crystal observes that Louise sounded like she knew that the last trip she ran was going to be her last time in the Canyon.
The next trip was extremely hot until a heavy thunderstorm came through and cooled things off for a few days. When they got back, Jeff tells them that Al isn't any better, so they decide to go see him.
