Kent Bacon was the husband of Mary and mother of Chelsea, Casey and Rachel.
The whole family were runners. The children ran cross-country, the parents ran 5K, 10K and longer races. Kent preferred trail and off-road races to the prepared trails of cross-country.NG13
He encouraged Rachel and her friend Kayla Holst in their running and got them to try mini-triathlon.
