Summary
Josh is thinking seriously about whether to go to college or to take Bud up on his offer and be a railroader like his father. He realises that Amy might not last, he feels like an outsider compared to Amy, Marsha & Danny because of the West Turtle Lake Club.
By the end of the chapter Josh has decided that he might like to be a railroader.
