Summary
Heather spends an enjoyable Christmas with John, and is in a happy mood until she gets back to her flat and reads the Record-Herald newspaper article that virtually calls the Defenders of Gaea a scam.
Heather sees red and storms into Mike's office, denying everything. While she is there Mike gets a call from Jennifer, telling him that McMullen has asked Blake for another $50,000. Mike asks Jennifer to keep quiet for a little while to give him time to see what they can do to hurt the Defenders.
He tells Heather that he's just talked to the donor, who won't be giving the $50,000 sending Heather off again as she has been told $25,000. Heather is even more determined to prove it is all lies.
