Summary
Once outside St John's, Newfoundland the wind picked up a bit and the sea had more swell. A fog developed and by the time Matt and Mary had eaten lunch they couldn't see Newfoundland.
Mary asked Matt when he got the idea for the trip. Matt talked about getting ill with leukemia, recovering following a bone marrow transplant and having someone read sea stories to him. He eventually told her that Jake was his natural father.
