The local dog pound for Spearfish Lake, and the source of the original dogs for Mark Gravengood and Mike McMahon, except for Cumulus. The pound supports the dog racing in Spearfish Lake, and continues to sponsor a race (the "pound puppies") even after dogs are being bred specifically for racing. Mike finds George here, when he was just a young pup.
