Shirley Austin was the sister of Mel Austin. During World War II, she moved to California. Some time after 1946, her parents retired from farming and moved there as well; leaving older brother Philip Austin with the family farm.
After Philip died around 1970, she and Mel inherited the farm; they sold it off and split the proceeds.BR1-4
