Roger Augsberg was a Spearfish Lake resident contemporary with Gil Evachevski and Mike Johansen. He played halfback on the Marlins football team in the late 1940s and early 1950s.^WTLC3

He was on the Board of the Spearfish Lake First Baptist Church which sent prospective Pastor Kirk Wise packing after an inflamatory sermon.^WTLC27
