Summary
At the Chicago Inn after racing there was more talk about Telzey racing more and Jim Kaufmann mentioned a possible car. Chuck reported the chassis on his car was beyond repair. Jim pointed him at a roller which would probably take his engine and transmission.
Ashley Hitchcock's father started in on Chuck as they got home, repeating Ashley's version of events. Cal Griffin told him Chuck's version was correct and he ended up giving Chuck a cheque to get a replacement car.
Telzey collapsed into bed in her clothes and only got up when her grandmother mentioned going to see about a car.
