Isle Royale National Park
Isle Royale National Park is a real National Park made up of approximately 400 islands in Lake Superior.
The largest of the 400 islands is Isle Royale island itself, which is over 45 miles (72 km) in length and 9 miles (14 km) wide at its widest point. Isle Royale is the second largest island in the Great Lakes system, after only Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron.
Michigan contains fourteen different wilderness areas, of which Isle Royale National Park is the largest.
