Summary
Matt and Mary spent three days in Galway rearranging the Mary Sue for coastal cruising, clearing the v-berth and getting cushions made for it so they could sleep together. Following advice from people they discussed it with, they went north around the coast for a couple of weeks mooring each night before calling in to Londonderry to clear British customs and for Matt to get his quarterly blood test done.
Their next stage took them round the Outer Hebrides then to Fort William where they entered the Caledonian Canal to cross Scotland to Inverness, including sailing the length of Loch Ness. From Inverness they decided to head via the Orkneys and Shetland isles to Bergen in Norway.
