Talk:Class of 1988
This is a rough list that I have compiled over my reading of the Bradford Exiles series. Please expand on it. This list was compiled near the end of posting of The Homestanders. I found this useful, and thought that others might find it useful also, but if it is inappropriate to the wiki I will take it down.--rlh3 05:21, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
- I think that's a useful article. I put in a link from Jennlynn's page to Class of 1988.--Samuelmichaels 16:13, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Great idea1 Probably need links to it from each of the Bradford series stories and maybe from each of the pages for the characters listed. Oops, I think this means we might need a 'Bradford Character' category which suggests also a 'Dawnwalker' category.
Anybody who thinks it is a good idea, go for it! --SPLTWikiSysop 20:33, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- I am not certain we need these large character categories, but I have a related idea. What about making a page for each series, giving a short description of interrelationship between the books and major characters? To some extent, you can get all that from going to Wes Boyd's Bibliography, and then (manually, since it has no links) navigating to each book and chapter articles, and reading up on characters and finding how they relate. But putting it on one page, with appropriate hyperlinks might be easier. In essence, Class of 1988 would be the core of the proposed Bradford Exiles article. Thoughts?--Samuelmichaels 16:13, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
- Another even better idea! --SPLTWikiSysop 21:17, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
I am so happy that someone who has a clue how to work with this Wiki software has taken this thing in hand. I believe that Samuelmichaels suggestion above is the way to go. Making this a general series overview, or introductory page will prove more useful than the simple list that I had started with.--rlh3 08:13, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
Anybody who wants to go into the bib page and put in hyperlinks is welcome to do so. I don't understand this wiki stuff enough to do it. Just like I don't know how to get the signature and time stamp on these posts. -- Wes
- Wes (and everybody else): there are 2 ways to insert a signature. One is to click the signature button () on top of the edit window, usually the last but one button. The second is to enter 4 tildes: ~~~~. When you save your edit, the 4 tildes will be automatically expanded to your name and time.--Samuelmichaels 15:59, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
