Summary
At home Tuesday evening Susan talked with her parents about her day at college. Mike reported a conversation he'd had with Harold Hekkinan about her leaving school.
While Susan was studying Megan phoned to find out what had happened because Susan wasn't in school. Susan told her about going to college instead and avoided the real reason. Megan reported that her late Friday evening with Jimmy had been good.
Once the papers were out on Wednesday, Susan started cleaning out the junior reporter's desk and found school board papers including Earl Gingrich's resumé. Mike suggested she try a little background check to confirm the places Gingrich said he'd worked actually existed. She turned up a report in the Springfield Democrat that he'd been charged with embezzlement by his previous school district.
Mike contacted Henry asking if it was the Springfield where he worked.
