Joyce Berlin joined the staff of the Spearfish Lake Record-Herald in 1931 running the typesetting machine. She retired in October 1971 when the paper changed from hot metal to photo-typesetting.
She was married to Pat and they planned to do some traveling and wintering in Florida during their retirement.
