Irene Niven is the wife of Norm Niven. Irene has a sister, Naomi Callison.
Norm and Irene have two children. Irene was driving the car when she was hit by a drunk driver. Their son Phil dies young in a car accident that also leaves their daughter Judith crippled. Irene becomes overly protective of Judith and is very distressed when she starts going out with Ken Sorensen as she starts to do things that Irene believes are beyond her.TNG3
