Summary
Anissa drives back to the office from Moffatt Eastern to write both the basketball game report and her Marlin Sports Talk gossip column for the Record-Herald.
Early on, Anissa had had no intention of being a reporter, she just wanted to be a supportive mother and attended all the school games. Mike McMahon realised that she had all the knowledge, and was attending all the games and matches anyway, so gradually he got her into the role of sports reporter, even though she wasn't that good a writer to start with.
Anissa wrote her column dubbing the seven girls playing basketball 'The Magnificent Seven' for ending the season 18-2 and to get through the first round of the district play-offs. For a team that had been written off before they'd ever started it's a tremendous achievement, and they could look forward to a successful few years.
