Cedar Point Amusement Park is a real location - a 364-acre amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio on the shore of Lake Erie. It is the second-oldest operating amusement park in the United States (since 1870) behind Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut (opened in 1846).
From 1997 to 2013 - for 16 years in a row - Cedar Point was voted the best amusement park in the world. Their web site is at https://www.cedarpoint.com.
In the Spearfish Lake Tales universe it is significant in that it provides summer employment for Shay Archer and his girlfriend Bethany Frankovich, among others.
