Summary
Arlene got Mel out of bed fir the first time and Dr. Bronson gave him exercises to build up his muscles.
Mike Corrigan dropped by and told Mel what he'd have to work with to be ready for the start of school, including some of Mrs Hochstatter's old history lesson plans. He also mentioned a friend had a house to sell which he might rent and went to tell Arlene about it.
Alex Groves, high school principal brought the auto shop and history text books for Mel to start working with.
Arlene reported the house would do them and they agreed to try for a six-month lease with an option to buy later. Various people had offered furniture and things to help them get started. She had also phoned her parents and reported a good reaction to her news of a job and impending marriage.
