Ashley Montague was a professional singer, sometimes disparagingly called a "bubble gummer singer".

She had recorded Pick Me Please by Dayna Berkshire and Sandy Beach without any royalty agreement. They settled out of court for enough money for Dayna and Sandy to buy a house in Bradford.^PUTP16
