Summary

The train carrying the Spearfish Lake fire department gets to Warsaw, to Fred Linders relief. He talks to Harry Masterfield about tactics. Linder gets Bud to pull some wagons containing chemicals from the fertilizer plant, to Chip Halsey's relief. John Penny comes up with the idea of loading people onto school buses and loading them onto the flat cars for the trip back to Spearfish Lake, Bud contacts Kate to deal with a welcoming committee. Joe McGuiness and the Warsaw bus mechanic Skip get the buses moving. Bruce Marshall is worried that this is the end of the paper plant. Joe Horton stays behind to help organise those people not evacuated, whilst Linder pushes people to load up onto the buses. Marie is put in an ambulance to ride back with a couple of nurses and Fred, she gives birth en route to Spearfish Lake.
