Summary
Flying to Stellafane, Jackie and Mark contrast this visit to the Texas Star Party. Mark succumbs to a purchase of porthole glass to make a big mirror for a Dobsonian telescope. Because of the cold at night, they start making plans for the winter with Jackie not interested in returning to Spearfish Lake yet.
They manage a visit to Walden Pond, although things have changed since Thoreau's time. Jackie adds a rock to the pile. while sitting under a tree there, they talk about returning to Spearfish Lake, getting married, and where to go for the winter.
