Summary

Eve tells Shae that John has accepted an associate professor position at Northwestern University, and that they will be moving to Chicago. It seems like a move that will benefit all concerned, as Eve was not happy with her firm in Philadelphia, and it would put the McClellans close to John's sister, and somewhat close to Bradford.

Dave and Shae continue to be impressed by Kayla's intellectual hunger. Shae thinks that it's actually her and Dave's presence as role models that is igniting the girl's new ambitions. Shae tells Dave that she discovered Kayla and her friend Rachel skinny-dipping; the girls are nudists. Emily thinks it's a short phase, but Shae is thinking of supporting them in case it's serious.

Dave, Shae and the boys visit the Albrights. Deborah and Stan are very accepting of Dave's relationship with Shae, and Shae herself. They are both amazed by the transformation from the hurting and difficult people the Albrights were previously. Eve's influence is apparent here. Stan actually thinks of selling the business, and finding a part-time job. Dave discusses privately with Shae asking him for help with marketing ideas for Shae's post-Avalon story recordings.
