Briarwood Mall is the Spearfish Lake Tales is a shopping mall in Hawthorne. The manager was Mr. Fredenberg in 1987 and in 1989.

Briarwood is the first busking location of Dayna Berkshire. She worked as part-time musician and elf during the Christmas season of 1987 and met Tim Willoughby, who taught her more guitar and busking techniques.

Briarwood had a Gap store, at least in 1987.
