Judith Sorensen née Nivens, is the daughter of Norman and Irene Niven and raised in Willow Lake. She was partially paralyzed in an auto accident while young that also killed her brother, Phil. She managed to complete High School with some assistance from her friends, such as Candy Howard, Alison Blevens. and Lori Mattson.
Judy worked hard at her physical therapy to recover as much leg motion as possible. She can walk with braces, but not easily nor without pain. Her therapist at Geneva was Beth Mohr.
