Summary
Mark and Jackie take several days to cross Texas, and end up near Big Bend Nat'l Park. Jackie continues to do well learning about flying, and has picked up navigation skills and touch and go landings. They do some hiking and backpacking in the park, and eventually fly to Marfa, the nearest airport to the star party. They picked up a lot of mail at the star party, including some cookies and a letter from Jackie's dad, who made it clear that he didn't disapprove of the way she had suddenly gone off with Mark.
