Summary
Scooter gets ready for her first run as trip leader. Michelle is helping, and Scooter observes that she has lost her braces, and is dressed like an adult instead of her usual teenybopper outfit; however, she isn't about to give up her bubblegum habit.
The weather was warmer than the previous trip, and it went well with no major incidents or problems. Both Duane and Jim did well when they got to row, and Al was pleased, telling Jim that in spite of his agreeing to be an unpaid swamper, he was going to get paid. He was unclear as to who would be the fifth boatman on their next trip.
After they got back to Flagstaff, and when they were shopping for the next trip, they discovered that Glenn would be joining them. Apparently Dave and Mary had decided that Carl would run a gear boat for their next trip, which left Glenn available for Scooter & Crystal's crew.
