Phoenix

Phoenix is the home city for Lambdatron, the R&D company that Tanisha Blythe and Jon Chladek go to work for. Lambdatron is actually situated in Tempe, a suburb of Phoenix. Jon and Tanisha rent an apartment whilst working over the summer there, and then a town house once they move to the area permanently.
