Summary

Josh is finding it difficult following the Iditarod on the internet rather than taking part himself. Phil is doing well for a rookie, though Josh and Tiffany have drilled him on Don Bowyers Trail Notes. Josh is surprised when Brandy rings him up to get Shelly Goodlock's phone number. Fred Warwick contacts Troy Moorehead, the director of field operations at Front Range Technical Services, to tell him what has happened and what flight Brandy is on. Brandy is sleeping when Troy gets on the flight, so he waits until Seattle when she gets off the plane. Troy tries to talk her into going back to Bolivia, then to going back to Denver, but realises that at the moment it was useless. Josh is feeling lonely as he does the chores, looking after the dogs left at the kennels, and decides to have breakfast at the Spearfish Lake Cafe. He chats with the regulars there, a bit about the Iditarod then about the store and kayaking.
