Summary
This is the concluding chapter.
On the way to Wetherford college, Myleigh tells him about how she used to snore quite noisily, and that Shovelhead is a doctor. When they get to Weatherford, they are met by the head of music, Dick Stein. Once they've set up for the concert he shows them round the department, Myleigh is very taken by a full size concert harp. At the reception Myleigh gets to talking English literature with some of the staff, Trey meets up with people they know from Spearfish Lake, including the Carters, Shovelhead & Lex, Jennifer & Blake, Randy & Nicole. The College president introduces Myleigh, who gives her usual speech, then mentions the people she knows, but surprises Trey by announcing their marriage plans. The concert goes well, although Myleigh gets Jennifer to join her for Dawnwalker. Afterwards Randy and Blake both help Trey sell CD's. Trey is called into a meeting between the College staff and Myleigh to find that they are offering her a post in the English lit department plus some work with the music department as they have recently received an endowment. Trey realises that Blake and Jennifer have moved the money from sponsoring NASCAR into Weatherford College, and is a little upset by it, until Myleigh points out the realities of funding colleges. Myleigh convinces Trey that they should live in Spearfish Lake. They end up buying a house from Binky Augsberg, who recommends that the house needs an exorcism (probably the deLine house). They get married in December in the Walworth's house.
