The Epilogue for Rocinante was initially posted posted only on the Beyond the Far Horizon web site. This was discussed in the forum. Here is Wes's response from Nov. 18, 2008:
- "Frankly, I slipped up when I sent it to BtfH but it wasn't important enough to worry about. The main reason I didn't post it was that it contained a couple of spoilers, and a couple things where the timeline wasn't as it worked out in later stories."
Due to numerous inquiries from readers, Wes posted the Epilogue on his web site on June 4, 2009 in the Shorts, Outtakes, and Rants section.

Four years after the end of their adventure, Mark found an article in "Sky and Telescope" which told about John Dobson, who they met at the Texas Star PartyROC2-10 and later at Stellafane,ROC3-7 and the Dobsonian telescope.
Twenty years after their stay near Carlsbad Caverns and Misery HoleROC2-10 Mark found an old "National Geographic" article that told about the discovery of the secret of Misery Hole.
A short time later, Mark found an article in “Independent Telephone News” about Major E. J. Seasprunk, who was the young black boy they encountered after the tornado at Twillingate.ROC2-6 In the article he mentioned Mark and Jackie, and said that the airplane ride they gave him started him on the path to become a pilot.
