Bob Watson is a friend of Judy Niven and Ken Sorensen in Willow Lake, although it is likely the Watson's live in Arvada Center. He has a brother, Merle, and does farm work.

Bob has a bad stutter, but can play guitar and sing really well. He marries Lori Mattson in a rush in the summer of 1984 after she falls pregnant.^TNG9 Their eldest child is Jimmy. A second child, Amanda, is born in the winter 1986.^TNG16

When we next hear about Bob, he's a member of Jenny Easton's Boreal String Band in Facing the Storm. We learn that in the intervening time, the Watson's, the Sorensen's and the Griswold's joined forces to build a combined milk farm and factory.
