Summary
We learn of a few brief stops the couple has made after leaving the west coast and working their way east. Jackie has been signed off on her private pilot's license and both have their glider's license now, after another week at Waverly.
They stop in to visit with the Griswolds before heading to Stellafane. Kathy is babysitting a small child (Judith who features more prominently in another book. Other farm workers include boys named Merle and Tom. We hear about how Jackie and Mark helped in a cattle roundup.
