Mike Hanneman retired from the Air Force as a one-star General. To fill some time in retirement, he flies part-time for Skyhook Aviation and occasionally does consulting work, including with Lambdatron, although his preferred method of earning money seems to be fleecing golfers in side bets.

Mike's time in the Air Force has left him with very good connections in the Pentagon. He has been known to work between the military and outfits like Lambdatron. This work became apparent in Alone Together, such as when he helps play Project Swallowtail between the Navy and Air Force.^AT17
