Mike Monagan was an executive with the Nashville-Murray music production company in the 1980s.

Mike allegedly did not pay their performers, including Jenny Easton, their full residuals. It was also alleged that he paid at least one agent a kickback to get their client to sign with Nashville-Murray. "even Frank (Oldfield) thought he'd been a slimy bastard. Jenny charging that he'd paid a kickback to Knox to get her to renew her original contract, well there was some truth to that, although he figured it would be pretty hard to pull out of the books."^BB32

Mike Monagan was bisexual and died of AIDs, although Nashville-Murray's official press release called it Cancer. Blake Walworth said the gay community in Nashville was convinced he'd infected several people.
