Mark Jordan is the Pastor of the Glen Hill Road First Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Mark was first encountered when leading a church group on a boat trip on the Ocoee River in 1995. Crystal Chladek, a Senior Guide with the boat company, managed to include her family on their trip.^DW21 Mark was a witness to both the accident where a kayaker pulled in front of Crystal's raft and when he and a friend subsequently attacked her with a knife. Mark, an EMT, provided the first aid to the wounded after the fight.^DW22 On the bus afterwards, Mark led a prayer in thanks^DW23 The other Senior Guide on the trip was Crystal's friend Noah Whittaker.

Subsequently, Mark kept in contact with Noah, with the Pastor mentoring him through his seminary days and subsequently hiring him as the Glen Hill youth minister.^CF06

Eventually, Noah questions his own ministry, and is not sure if he is ready for a parish of his own, or if that's what works for him. In 2000, when Crystal urges him to come to Canyon Tours, Mark is very supportive.

November 24, 2001 Mark comes to the Canyon to officiate at the wedding of Crystal and Noah, as well as Scooter and Jim Griffin.
