Dennis Bergen got started in the summer of 1989 in dog sledding with a pretty good team. He came in fourth in the Warsaw Run in early 1990, but was forced, by his wife Amanda Bergen, to give up his dogs.^RM2

Josh Archer took them off his hands for $100 and a promise to find good homes for them.
