Summary

Chet's funeral is larger than Tom's. Chet was suffering from cancer, so the heart attack that killed him only speeded things up a little. Ken finds it difficult to get going, but starts to farm again, just as if Chet were still around. Ken & Judy go through the financial situation, and realise that they owe too much on the farm, Tom had spent more than needed on new equipment. Roger's farm catches fire, and although the insurance will cover things, he lost his combine, so asks Ken to use his. Ken makes an agreement with Roger to sell the new combine to Roger. Ken gets a very old machine to replace the one he sold, but it is so much less efficient that he struggles to get the harvest in, till his neighbours come round one day to help out.
