Summary

Ken & Judy discover that neither can cook, and Ken is outraged by the prices that the shops charge for food compared to what the farmers get for producing it. At Christmas they go back to Ken's parents for the holidays. They visit Bob & Lori with their new baby. They go back to college, and enjoy life together & studying. In February, they get the shocking news that Tom has been killed in a car accident. Chet has taken Tom's death badly, and Lydia points out that he is not up to running the farm himself. The farm is deep in debt because of Tom's plans for expansion, and it is up to Ken & Judy to decide if they want to run the farm or not. Ken realises that this would mean giving up on their degrees. Carolyn has gone back to her family.
