Summary

John Penny & Ed Sloat discuss what is wrong with the engine as they arrive in Spearfish Lake. There are only a couple of vehicles from Hoselton waiting to go, and they find out that the hospital is short of oxygen, until Penny wonders if the hospital can use oxygen supplied for welding. They decide to delay returning to Warsaw, and spend some time doing running repairs on the engines. Bud goes into the office where Betty puts him onto Les Marks from the D&O. Bud agrees to buy the Kremmling Branch from the D&O for $10,000, rather than trying to sue them over the broken bridge.

In Warsaw, Fred Linder is wondering how to contain the fire when he is called up by the fire chief from Kremmling, who have arrived even though they weren't called for. As Linder sends out a snowplow to help them the last few miles news comes in that the fertilizer plant has caught fire.
