Summary
Roger is directed to helping in Pass Christian, Mississippi. The crew is first works with are Amish from Shipshewana, Indiana, not far from Wychbold. He enjoys working with the dedicated Amish and spends the next several weeks with them. The schedule includes not working on Sunday, which Roger uses for laundry, getting gas for the RV and dumping its holding tank.
As October closes, the Amish return to their farms and Roger finds himself working with crews of a different composition. They are typically younger, less experienced, and changed more frequently than the tightly bonded Amish.
Roger offers use of his shower to one working camper adjacent to his RV, Catalina. They spend an evening getting to know each other.
