Summary

Plans are made with Roger and Catalina returning to Michigan in the motor home. They expect to sell it and buy a bigger one, but only if Roger isn't tied up suddenly owning Homer Smith's property. Bonnie will drive the Taurus back, but after the auction. Catalina considers moving her stuff out of her mother's house and into Roger's.

The snow is gone from Michigan when they return. When Jason asks, Roger tells him his new plans don't include selling his house yet. Instead he might need help reselling the auctioned property. Jason mentions splitting the farm from the woods.

The meeting with Ralph reviews options and there's an appointment "with Sam down at the bank for ten" for Roger. Ralph also suggests asking John Castle to look at the woods.

Roger ensures he can borrow his brother-in-law's Gator for exploring the woods before talking to John Castle. In retelling the story to John, Roger has discovered he has a short version now. John being a story teller himself though, it takes time for Roger to extract himself.

They spend over two hours the next day exploring the woods and John determines, "if the assessor said this patch of woods was worth three hundred thousand, he was way low".
