Summary

Jerry is airlifted out by helicopter. Al passes some Johnny Walker round to help calm everyone down. Randy tells Crystal how he ended up becoming an EMT. Crystal and Al discuss what to do about being short a boatman, and decide to give Randy a gear raft to row. Al decides to ring up Michelle and get her to organize a satellite telephone so that they can call out in an emergency no matter where they are. They run down the river, with each boatman taking turns riding with Randy when it came to the difficult rapids. They stop at a little beach that only Al has any real knowledge about. Most decide to go for a hike up the side canyon, though Crystal, Al and Karin don't go. Scooter and Dallas have a long talk about his late wife, and that they had not managed to go adventuring when they had the chance. (compare Dawnwalker Chapter 69 & Dawnwalker Chapter 70).
