Jerry (no last name as of River Rat 46) is a boatman with Canyon Tours. On a trip that included Randy Clark and [[Chladek, Crystal|Crystal Chladek] he had a serious accident rockclimbing; Randy had just completed EMT training and his actions saved Jerry's life.
In later books, he is described as a "bit of a cowboy".
