Summary

Bill Lee has travelled by snowmobile from the Lordston Northern Scenic Railroad to Frontier over the North Central Railroad, and then along the abandoned grade to Meeker. He heads south to find the engines stuck in the snowdrift, and returns to Meeker to fetch a front loader to help dig them out. They stop at Meeker for supplies, then continue on a bit more cautiously. Whilst he was going to Meeker, Bill thinks back about how he and Diane found the steam engine and bought it at scrap value, then set up the Lordston Northen Scenic Railroad on a section of track bought from the D&O that they had scheduled for abandonment.
