Geneva is a county seat for Dohrman County and is located about twenty miles from Willow lake. Its newspaper is the Geneva Daily Post-Gazette while it is also the home to the Dohrman County Hospital.
Also in Dohrman County are the communities of Willow Lake and Arvada Center.
