Denis names the boys responsible, although the principal is not concerned, even though the emergency workers have to use oxygen to help Denis breathe. When Shae takes Denis home, he gets a gun and has to be prevented from running back to school with it. Denis tells Shae & his parents that he feels he ought to have been born a girl.
