Ken is harvesting corn,  and Judy is collecting the crop. Judy turns up with Charlotte,  a little girl paralyzed below the waist that Beth has brought out to meet Judy. They decide to let the girl ride [[Candybar]] as a treat. Norman rings up to tell Ken that he has a contract that Tom had signed over two years before for a large load of corn,  which Ken doesn't have.  However the fixed price is a lot higher than the current market price,  so Ken is able to buy enough from Norman and sell it back to him at the higher price,  bringing in an extra $14,000 dollars. Carolyn loses the court case,  and Ken is able to go to Henry Daly and pay over much more money than Henry expected. Whilst they are not out of debt,  at least they have saved the farm for the next generation.  Judy gives Ken the news that there's going to be a next generation.
