The Toivo Sauna was semi legendary among the Spearfish Lake youth. It was where Henry Toivo and Kirsten Langenderfer first fell in love in the winter of 1965. The adults always thought that there was more happening there than just the sauna, but really what can you comfortably do in temperatures above 120 degrees?

The visitors of Heikki Toivo's Sauna that night include the three Toivo siblings, Henry, Jody and Betsy, Kirsten, Linda Caserowski, Karin Johanson, Mark Gravengood and Steve Augsberg.

The Toivos did not live in Spearfish Lake itself, but in Amboy Township, to the east.
