Gil and Carrie were married in 1961 and spent the first three years of their marriage, 1961 to 1964, stationed in Germany where Jennifer (1961) and then Garth (1963) were born. Gil spent a tour in Vietnam between 1964 and 1965. Gil and Carrie were then stationed at Ft. Bragg NC from 1965 to 1968. While at Bragg Brandy was born in April of 1966 and Tara in March of 1968.
