Summary
Al begins the morning by explaining some logistics, especially about who will be at oars in coming days. Because of the bigger rapids, they'll be stopping to scout more often.
Nicole has taken the tranquilizers, which prevent her from easily hiking past rapids and she can tolerate running them, despite the cold water. It seems everybody gets a little wet, despite wearing rain suits. At Sockdolager, Andy at the oars with Myleigh, Trey and Al in his boat, bounce and end up finishing backwards.
Below Sockdolager, folks remove the cold, clammy rain gear to wear T-shirts and swimsuits. Al also proudly moves Karin to oars, the better to demonstrate he's marrying another river rat. They are greeted by the waiting team with "Here Comes the Bride" on harmonica.
We learn from Mary and Dave Wells, Trip Leaders for the other team, of complications on the mule resupply and one boatman's need to leave early. We see just how dependent Canyon Tours is on college student help.
